I have mentioned previously that Tessa made it to All State Chorus. She has been an alternate for the past two years so was quite excited to be chosen this year. Also it is quite the achievement for all the hours she puts into her music. And an honor.

Off to start her day armed with her music and tea.
For the last couple months she has been practicing every week with several schools. Thankfully it was held at our school so no extra traveling involved. This past weekend it all came to an end with three full days of fun, fun, and more fun for her.
Thursday was the "touring day" as 11area schools All State participants went to 5 schools and put on their 30 minute shows. I attended the show at our school and knew we were in for a treat with the upcoming concert.
Friday morning she was up bright and early to attend rehearsals all day. She arrived home after 10 pm only to wake again at 5:45 am again for the third day in a row.
But when you do what you love its not a hardship!!! Singing, wearing a pretty dress, and getting your hair done up by your big sis? Can it get better than that?
Where's Tessa?
Saturday she stayed busy with rehearsals, having a break so we went to the Falls Park, getting her hair done by Maria, dining with the All State kids and parents, and then on to the concert. There were 940 South Dakota youth in the All State Chorus and Orchestra. They were lead by some dynamic directors. Which is a great experience all of its own. Even tho she learned she as a singer is considered a "la-la". It was an awesome evening for all who attended and those who watched it aired on PBS.
A few of the attendees for her were (LtoR) my cousin Sheila, Maria, Grandma R., myself, Clark, Zach, and Seth. Also was Daryl, Dirk and Mary Jo.

Finally got the Haf Dozen together for a picture.

Dirk and Mary Jo were busy this day also. They attended a banquet where Mary Jo was honored. Then they zipped over to the concert. We were all happy to see them!!!!
It was a great day all around!

How great that Tessa can spend so much time doing something she loves, and be honoured for it as well. You'll have to post a video of her singing.
Oh, how wonderful. I loved choir when I was in school. I wasn't as good as La la there though!
Congrats to Tessa...do what you love...love what you do!!
Beautiful and she sings. How cool is that?
How fun for Tessa. My son the singer misses all the singing he did in High School. Hope she can keep it up. Nice family picture.
What a wonderful thing to have happen! What a beautiful girl! How nice to get to share with you.

We went to a choral concert just last night -- I loved it! I'm sure that she must be very talented to have been selected -- she's also gorgeous!
Blessings and congratulations!
