We had an early birthday dinner for Seth's upcoming 16th birthday. Because we are going to be gone AGAIN on his day.But this year we will be on vacation instead of driving out to the hayfield!
To celebrate in style with this teenagers is with a Texas Longhorn cake.
We tried to replicate the symbol off his favorite hat.
We-it was a group effort to get this cake to completion.
I baked the cake.
Clark removed it from the pan.
Zach took toothpicks and outlined the design.
Zach cut out the design after approval.
Clark put on the first layer of frosting after the cake was froze for an hour.
Maria and I fixed all the patches that would not cooperate for Clark. It was a very crumbly cake.
Then Maria graciously spent an hour piping the entire cake.
The Big Red Hen would be proud of how we all pulled together and got it done!!
He LOVED it.And what a sweet smile to show it!
